March is Endometriosis Month

The Endometriosis UK website states that around 1.5m women live with this painful condition where cells similar to those in the uterus lining are found elsewhere in the body. It can cause painful or heavy periods and painful sex and may lead to infertility, fatigue, bowel and bladder problems.

Shockingly the average time in the UK for a proper diagnosis is 7.5 years!!
If you have pelvic pain and severe menstrual cramps then speak to your GP and don’t suffer in silence.
A healthy weight and a healthy diet as well as moderate exercise can help reduce the symptoms.
